NMIT has seven undergraduate engineering programs and eight postgraduate programs under college of engineering along with MBA and MCA. The branches, eligibility criteria, admission, process, and competitive examination details are given below.

Eligibility Criteria - UG

The student should have passed 2nd PUC / 12th standard or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and obtained 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology. In case of candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes (Category I, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.

Eligibility Criteria - PG

Admission to M.Tech course shall be open to candidates who have passed the prescribed qualifying examination (B. E./B.Tech) as specified in ANNEXURE with not less than 50% marks in aggregate of all the all the semesters/years of the degree examination. (Cumulative sum of secured marks of all the semesters/ years divided by the sum of maximum marks). However, in case of candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST and Category-1, aggregate marks shall not be less than 45%.

Eligibility Criteria - MCA

Eligibility for Admission to MCA 2nd year - Lateral entry:
‘BCA/B.Sc (IT/CS) graduate with Mathematics as course at 10+2 Level with a minimum of 50% aggregate at the degree levels as per the AICTE norms

MBA - Programs & Eligibility Criteria

Admission to MBA course shall be open for the candidates who have passed the bachelor degree from a recognized university with not less than 50% i.e., integer (rounding-off aggregate percent is not permitted) of the marks in aggregate of all the years of the degree examination. However, in case of candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST and Category-1, the aggregate percent of the marks of all the years of the qualifying examination shall not be less than 45%. (rounding-off aggregate percent is not permitted)
